Knight Frank places first Digital Art Fair Asia on Hong Kong's prime street shop

06 September 2021

Knight Frank has successfully brought together the landlord and event organiser for the first-ever physical and virtual art fair in Asia showcasing world-class contemporary digital art and NFT art. The inaugural edition of Digital Art Fair Asia is set to take place from 30 September to 17 October 2021 in Asia Standard Tower, 59-65 Queen’s Road Central, Central, Hong Kong.

Integrating online and offline experience has become a global and indispensable strategy in the retail industry. Bringing a digital art experience to a prime street shop, however, is a new concept Knight Frank has introduced. With the short-term retail space in the city made available, building buzz, setting up pop-up stores, hosting art & culture events, are some ways that retailers can promote new retail concepts. Securing a physical venue also uplifts brand legitimacy and strengthens the relationship between the brand and consumer, boosting customer curiosity. Meanwhile, the landlord can optimise its shop value by embracing new technology and innovation to provide a unique customer experience.

Showcasing over 200 pieces of digital and NFT art, Digital Art Fair Asia brings the digital form of art into the real physical world. With an impressive line-up of international contemporary artists ranging from Refik Anadol to King of Kowloon and Krista Kim, art collectors will be able to see some of the most exciting digital and NFT contemporary art collections to date in the fair.

Heiman Ng, Director of Digital Art Fair, said, “We would like to thank Knight Frank for helping us secure such a wonderful venue for the inaugural edition of Digital Art Fair Asia. The professional advice that we have received from their Retail Services team is instrumental in growing our business in the future.”

“We are thrilled to have fostered the collaboration between Digital Art Fair and the landlord, in securing a landmark location to showcase the growing convergence of art and technology. We sincerely hope that the launch of Digital Art Fair Asia can offer an informative platform to the public so that they can gain exposure to new possibilities that digital art and NFT Art can bring into the art industry. Retail strategies have paid more attention to curatorial strategies that contextualise artworks within retail space and engage customers” said Helen Mak, Senior Director, Head of Retail Services, Knight Frank.
