Knight Frank expands Capital Market Team with two senior hires

30 August 2021
Knight Frank is delighted to welcome two senior professionals to its Capital Markets team, with the arrival of Willis Mak, as Executive Director, Head of Private Clients, Greater China, and Alfred Wong as Director, Capital Markets. They, along with the existing Knight Frank Hong Kong Capital Markets team, will report to Antonio Wu, Head of Capital Markets, Greater China. The appointment highlights Knight Frank’s focus on growing its Capital Markets business, with a view to expanding its client service offering in GBA and cross-border.

Willis Mak joins Knight Frank from Colliers, where he was Senior Executive Director, Capital Markets & Investment Services. He was responsible for the acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential properties, as well as development sites. With over three decades of real estate experience, he has built up strong relationships with a wide range of clients including High net-worth individuals, private wealth, family funds as well as institutions. Some notable deals he concluded include the disposal of 103 -107 Tam Kung Road, Kowloon City, Sing Pao Building on King’s Road and No. 6 O’Connell Street in Sydney. Leveraging his years of experience transacting with private investors and institutions, Willis is uniquely placed to accelerate the growth of Knight Frank’s capital markets businesses across Hong Kong and overseas.

Alfred Wong joins Knight Frank as Director, Capital Markets. He brings close to 20 years of real estate experience in both Hong Kong and New Zealand. Prior to joining Knight Frank, he spent 14 years in the Capital Markets team at Colliers Hong Kong. Specialising in investment properties in Hong Kong, Alfred was involved in large-scale disposal and acquisition for sites, en-bloc buildings, retail and office spaces.

“We are thrilled to have Willis and Alfred joining our growing Capital Markets team. Their experience, network, and expertise will be valuable to our clients in Hong Kong and around the world as they seek investment opportunities in the post-pandemic economy. I look forward to working with them as we continue to focus on providing the best possible services to our clients,” said Antonio Wu, Head of Capital Markets, Greater China.

Paul Hart, Managing Director, Commercial Markets adds, over the course of this year, we have significantly grown our Hong Kong Capital Markets business. With Willis and Alfred’s extensive experience, track record and strong network, they will make excellent additions to our growing team, reinforcing Knight Frank’s market positioning in Greater China.
