Winner for Retail Team of the Year - Tai Kwun
Underpinned by 81,000 sq ft of commercial space, Tai Kwun is Hong Kong’s largest and most exciting heritage and arts project. Knight Frank’s involvement has spanned over a decade since 2006, advising on positioning, trade and tenant mix and revenue projections of the sites’ commercial elements, following which we acted as the sole leasing agent for the retail spaces. Working closely with The Jockey Club CPS Limited (a not-for-profit operator set up by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust under the trading name of “Tai Kwun”), our team was able to successfully reinforce Tai Kwun’s artistic edge and rich cultural values to tenants and breathed new life into this vital piece of Hong Kong’s history.

Hong Kong is in great need of new land supply options, this unprecedented project sets a new tone for future land supply initiatives and serves as a great example for upcoming underground complexes. Working alongside AECOM, Knight Frank has guided the Hong Kong Government through the complexities in planning Hong Kong’s first large-scale underground development. Leveraging our excellent track record in handling complex land development project with far reaching social impact, the team was able to identify comprehensive solutions to a string of intricate challenges which further exemplifies our capabilities.

The RICS Hong Kong Awards celebrate excellence, professionalism, achievement, and overall contribution to our built environment. Nominated projects have all displayed outstanding performance in professionalism, outcome and achievement, teamwork and innovation. Only the top contributors to the property industries are awarded as winner. This is the 8th consecutive year in which RICS presented the Annual Awards in Hong Kong. The awards evening was held on Friday 15 March 2019 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
