25 August 2016

Knight Frank, the independent global property consultancy, continues to invest in talent growth in China with four new management level appointments.

Based in Beijing office:

Bernard Ong: Appointed in the dual role of Managing Director of Beijing and China Head of Project Management. Bernard will manage Beijing office operations and drive the Project Management division’s business development strategy in China. He reports to Alan Liu, Managing Director of China.

Based in Shanghai office:

Bunny Wang: Appointed in the dual role of China Head of International Capital Markets and International Project Marketing. Bunny will focus on maximising cross-selling opportunities through collaboration with other business lines and geographic leaders of global key markets for both service lines. Bunny also reports to Alan.

Bernard has over 15 years of project management experience in Asia, including China, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. He has successfully built national project management platforms and has overseen all aspects of fit-out and construction assignments across an array of MNCs and Chinese corporations. He was previously with Colliers International and Cushman & Wakefield where he had personally led a number of high-profile projects. Bernard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Management from the National University of Singapore.

Bunny has over 13 years of commercial real estate experience. She started her commercial agency career with Colliers International. She pioneered the International Properties division at Colliers China and led the team to a position of market dominance within two years. She then took on the role of Director for PRC Institutional Services at Colliers International, where she assisted private and state-owned large Chinese conglomerates with outbound property requirements. Bunny introduced many international projects into China and led her team to achieve remarkable sales results; particularly for London projects. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Culture Exchange from Shanghai International Studies University.

Supporting Bunny in maximising business development opportunities across China:

Yi Cheng: Appointed as Associate Director, International Project Marketing, China.
Yi will be responsible for overseeing the international residential project sales and marketing activities in China. He will manage the division’s expansion throughout the country. His responsibilities include managing the sales and channel teams, and co-ordinating exhibitions and events for international property launches. Yi was previously with Vistra Group as General Manager, Business Development. He holds a Master of Management from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Arts in International Trade from Shanghai University.

Ken Wu: Appointed as Senior Manager, International Capital Markets, China.
Ken will be responsible for helping Bunny manage the International Capital Markets team in China. Ken has over eight years of commercial agency experience. His specialties include real estate investment, financial modelling, project valuation, leasing and integrated consulting. Before joining Knight Frank, Ken held senior manager roles at Colliers International and Cushman & Wakefield. Ken holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Economics from the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

Kevin Coppel, Regional Head of Asia Pacific, Knight Frank, says, “We see China as a key focus for our expansion in Asia. Cross-border flows between China and international markets will continue to grow strongly which will create opportunities right around the region. We are committed to strengthening our leadership, investing in talent and growing our presence in China.”

Piers Brunner, CEO, Greater China at Knight Frank, says, “Bolstering Knight Frank’s presence in mainland China is a top priority. We can only grow by strengthening our leadership and investing in the best talent. We are pleased to have Bernard, Bunny, Yi and Ken join us as part of this drive. I look forward to what we can accomplish together with Alan on the next phase of Knight Frank’s development in China.”
