Knight Frank unveils new drive in China with new leadership

4 May 2016 (Hong Kong) – Leading international property consultancy, Knight Frank, today announces the appointment of Mr Alan Liu as the Managing Director for China. He will commence in this new role on 9 May 2016 and will be based in the firm’s Shanghai office. A 23-year veteran in the real estate industry, Alan is tasked with further developing the Knight Frank business and overseeing the operations in China, which is one of the most important growth areas for Knight Frank’s global network.  Alan will report to Piers Brunner, Chief Executive Officer of Greater China.
 
Alan has a wealth of real estate experience in China, having held the position of Managing Director, North Asia at Colliers International for 14 years, where he had tremendous success in expanding their China presence and platform. He was a core member of the Asia Executive Committee responsible for managing the region, and had prior coverage of markets including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Korea, as well as service lines including Investment Services, Residential Project Marketing, Office Leasing, Corporate Solutions, Advisory Services and Real Estate Management Services.

Alan started his career in 1987 in Hong Kong and soon established his presence in China with roles at Colliers, MGPA and McKinsey and Company. He most recently served as Managing Partner of MVG Capital representing private investors in commercial and residential acquisitions in overseas markets. Alan holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of British Columbia.
