Knight Frank boosts Kowloon Commercial Agency Team with the appointment of Patrick Mak

05 August 2016

Leading international property consultancy, Knight Frank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Mak as General Manager and Head of Kowloon Commercial Agency.

Patrick has over 15 years of real estate experience in Hong Kong, and he will oversee Knight Frank’s Kowloon Commercial Agency team in formulating real estate strategies for occupiers and landlords, with the goal of further expanding our market share and delivering more customised solutions to our clients. Prior to joining Knight Frank, Patrick worked as an Executive Director in Colliers International, where he was consistently ranked as one of the Top 10 Revenue Producers in Asia and the winner of the company’s “Asia Award of Excellence”. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Patrick comes with a proven track record in representing both tenants and landlords. On the tenant side, Patrick has completed many landmark cases including the relocation & expansion of the German retailer LIDL into ICC & Ever Gain Plaza (total of about 140,000 sq ft), the renewal & restructure of the tenancy for Sears Holdings in Langham Place (about 120,000 sq ft), and the renewal & consolidation plan for Calvin Klein in Two Harbourfront (about 60,000 sq ft). On the landlord side, Patrick has assisted in the marketing and leasing of many projects in the past including Manulife Financial Centre in Kwun Tong.

Piers Brunner, CEO, Greater China at Knight Frank says, “We are delighted to have Patrick join us. The Hong Kong office leasing market is still seeing a high demand for quality space at the moment. With limited space and new supply in traditional business districts such as Central and Tsimshatsui, relocation demand for quality buildings in new commercial areas such as Kowloon East and Kowloon West continues to be a trend for many tenants. We believe this trend will continue in the next few years and that is why Knight Frank is delighted to further reinforce our Kowloon Commercial Agency to provide better specialisation for our clients. Patrick has vast knowledge and in-depth understanding of the Kowloon commercial market, I am sure he will be instrumental to the growth of our Kowloon commercial platform as we continue to drive the best opportunities for our clients ahead.”
